Educational Qualifications

Computer Science and Technology

Candidates should possess any one of the following qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Data Science or Artificial Intelligence.

OR

• Master's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Technology or Information Technology.

OR

• Master's Degree in Electronics, Mathematics, Statistics or Computational Linguistics along with a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Technology or Internet Technology.

Zoology

Candidates should possess a Master's Degree in Zoology along with the prescribed eligibility conditions.

Earth Science

Candidates should possess a Master's Degree in Applied Geology or Geology along with the prescribed eligibility conditions.

Social Work

Candidates should possess a Master's Degree in Social Work and satisfy the required eligibility conditions.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Assistant Professor posts should possess:

• Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
• Relaxation of 5% marks is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Government and UGC norms.
• Candidates should have qualified NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or an equivalent accredited test such as SET.

NET/SET Exemption

Candidates awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the applicable UGC Regulations are exempted from NET/SET, subject to fulfillment of the prescribed conditions.

Candidates possessing a Ph.D. from internationally ranked universities (Top 500 as per recognized global rankings such as QS, THE or ARWU) are also eligible as per UGC regulations.

Preference may be given to candidates having publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.

• Minimum 15 years of residence in Goa.
• Knowledge of Konkani is mandatory.
