Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the qualifications prescribed by:
- Goa University
- Directorate of Higher Education
- Government of Goa
Applicants should possess educational qualifications relevant to the concerned subject or department.
Mandatory Requirement
Candidates applying under reserved categories must have:
- 15 years Residence in Goa Certificate
- Valid Caste Certificate
- Other relevant supporting documents issued by competent authorities
- Knowledge of Konkani
Knowledge of Marathi is desirable as mentioned in the advertisement.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
2. For the post of Assistant Professor in Information Technology one should have good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade at the Master’s degree in computer Science/Engineering or Information Technology, M.Sc. (IT), M.C.A., M.E. (Computer Engineering), M. Tech. (Computer Technology).
3. Candidates should have cleared the eligibility test NET/SET for Asst. Prof. conducted by UGC/CSIR/University recognized by UGC. However, candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree Regulation 2009) in the concerned subjects as incorporated in relevant Goa University Ordinance shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
In case candidates having passed the said eligibility test or possessing Ph.D. in the concerned subject are not available or not found suitable, candidates fulfilling other conditions would be considered for appointment on purely temporary basis till the end of academic year. OBC/SC/ST/EWS- Relevant Certificate issued by the Competent Authority relevant to the post.
The post for Counsellor: Master in Psychology / Specialized in Clinical / Counseling Psychology from a recognized University / Institution with 55% marks in aggregate. Mandatory Requirement
a) 15 Years of Residence in Goa (Valid Certificate Required) b) Knowledge of Konkani is essential; knowledge of Marathi shall be desirable.
PAY SCALES: - Pay and service conditions as prescribed by Goa University, Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Goa and other competent authorities.
GENERAL:
1. The temporary/contract basis/lecture basis posts will be filled up only for the academic year.
2. The posts will be filled up only if workload warrants.
3. Incomplete applications may not be considered.
4. Nature of posts and service conditions may vary as per Goa University/Goa Government orders in force from time to time.
5. Applicants, who are already employed, shall forward their applications through proper channel and shall account for breaks, if any, in their academic career. Complete application form in all respects along with Self-attested photocopies of:
- Birth Certificate
- Caste/Category Certificate issued by a Competent Authority
- Photocopies of mark-sheets of all public
examinations from SSC onwards
- Teaching experience Certificate NET/SET /Ph.D. Certificate (if any)
- Valid
Employment Exchange Registration Card and valid 15 years Residence Certificate (in Goa) issued by a
Competent Authority of the Goa Government are to be produced along with original documents at the time of
interview.

- N.B.: Depending on exigencies and directives of Government of Goa the above posts will be filled by
transferring Contract / Lecture Basis from one category to another. All above posts irrespective of whether
they are Contract / Lecture Basis will be filled subject to the required workload.
