SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF VICE-CHANCELLOR, GOA UNIVERSITY
The Search-cum-Selection Committee constituted by Hon’ble Governor of Goa and Chancellor of Goa University, to recommend suitable names for the post of Vice-Chancellor of Goa University, hereby invites applications from distinguished academicians fulfilling qualifications and experience prescribed for the post of Vice-Chancellor of Goa University as per Goa University Statute SA-6(1)(b)(i), reproduced below:
“A person possessing the highest level of competence, integrity, morals and institutional commitment shall be appointed as Vice-Chancellor. The person to be appointed as a Vice-Chancellor should be a distinguished academician, with a minimum of ten years’ of experience as Professor in a University or ten years’ of experience in a reputed research and/or academic administrative organization with proof of having demonstrated academic leadership.”
The term of office, service conditions, powers and duties of the post as prescribed under Statute SA-6 of the Statutes of the Goa University can be accessed on the Goa University website: www.unigoa.ac.in.
The applications should be made in the prescribed proforma which is available on the website www.lokbhavan.goa.gov.in. Completed applications should be submitted by email to vcgu-chancellor@goa.gov.in.
⏳ Last date for submission: 05.00 p.m. on 25.05.2026
Applications received thereafter shall not be entertained.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited for personal interaction with the Search-cum-Selection Committee.
