The Goa Medical Council has released an official circular inviting applications for the post of Office Assistant on a contract basis. This opportunity is exclusively open to retired Government/Public Sector employees who possess relevant experience and basic computer knowledge.

🎓 Eligibility & Requirements
01. Experience:
Applicant should be a retired employee of Government (State or Central) or any Public Sector undertaking of not more than 65 years in age.
02. Age:
Applicant should not be more than 65 years of age as on 01.04.2026
03. Qualification:
Graduate in any discipline
04. Working Knowledge:
Should have working knowledge of Computers and should be able to work with MS Office (Word and Excel software)
05. Period of Engagement:
One year depending on performance, which may be extended further period depending on requirement and at discretion of Council. In any case no renewals will be allowed beyond 70 years of age
06. Job Location & Timing:
Goa Medical Council, IInd Floor, Faculty Block, GMC Complex, Bambolim Goa
Office Timings:
10.00 am to 1.00 pm & 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm on all working days with Saturday and Sunday as weekly off
07. Leave:
One day’s Casual leave per month will be allowed. Accumulation of casual leaves upto 11 months will be allowed and not more than 4 days of casual leave can be availed at a time, if sanctioned by Competent authority. Any unauthorized absence will be on no work no pay basis.
08. Remuneration:
Consolidated honorarium of Rs. 18,000/- p.m. will be paid
09. Mode of Selection:
Applicants shortlisted will have to undergo a practical test on working knowledge of Excel and Word. Those candidates passing practical test will have to appear for interview and selection will be on the basis of Personal Interview.
10. Remuneration for appearing interview:
No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for practical test and interview. Candidates will have to appear for said test and interview at their own cost.
11. Other Conditions of Engagement:
Candidate selected for employment will be bound by conditions on employment stipulated by Council from time to time.
12. Last Date for Submission of Application:
30th April 2026 by 5.00 pm at Goa Medical Council office on IInd Floor, Faculty Block, GMC Complex, Bambolim Goa 403202
(Office timings 10 am to 1 pm & 2 pm to 5 pm from Monday to Friday except on Public holidays)
Eligible retired employees from Government/Public Sector undertaking with good health may submit their application as per application draft provided below (Complete in all respect) along with self-attested copies of PPO/retirement letter from employer, copy of graduation degree certificate, proof of age (Birth Certificate or PAN Card).
Last date for receipt of duly completed and signed applications with enclosures at Goa Medical Council office on IInd Floor, Faculty Block, GMC Complex, Bambolim Goa PIN 403202 is 30th April 2026.
Applications received through email and/or after due date will be summarily rejected.
