South Goa, has invited eligible candidates to attend a walk-in interview for
the recruitment of teaching staff on a purely contractual basis for the
academic session 2026–27. Candidates who meet the required educational
qualifications and eligibility criteria can appear for the interview on the
scheduled date along with the necessary original documents and self-attested
photocopies.

Educational Qualifications
PGT (Physics)
Candidates should possess:
- Master's
Degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 50%
marks in aggregate.
- B.Ed.
Degree.
- Proficiency
in teaching in Hindi and English.
Important Note:
The B.Ed. degree is not required for candidates who
have completed the four-year Integrated Degree Course of Regional College of
Education (NCERT) or any NCTE-recognized institution.
PGT (Geography)
Candidates should possess:
- Master's
Degree in Geography with at least 50% marks from a recognized
university.
- B.Ed.
Degree.
- Ability
to teach in Hindi and English.
The same exemption regarding the four-year integrated degree
course applies.
PGT (Mathematics)
Candidates should possess:
- Master's
Degree in Mathematics with at least 50% marks.
- B.Ed.
Degree.
- Proficiency
in teaching in Hindi and English.
Candidates holding the four-year integrated teacher
education programme recognized by NCERT/NCTE are exempted from the B.Ed.
requirement.
TGT (Mathematics)
Candidates applying for the TGT Mathematics post should
fulfill the following requirements:
- Four-Year
Integrated Degree Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT or any
other NCTE-recognized institution with at least 50% marks in the
concerned subject and aggregate.
OR
- Minimum
50% marks in Post Graduation in the concerned subject from a
recognized institution.
OR
- Bachelor's
Honours Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject.
OR
- Bachelor's
Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in the
concerned subject as well as in aggregate. The candidate should have
studied the required subject during all three years of the degree course.
Additionally, candidates must have:
- Passed
the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE.
- B.Ed.
Degree.
- Proficiency
to teach through English and Hindi.
Desirable Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates having:
- Teaching
experience in a similar capacity in recognized schools.
- Experience
of working in a residential school.
- Knowledge
of computer applications.
- Knowledge
of the regional language.
Additional Eligibility Conditions
Applicants should also satisfy the following conditions:
- Fluency
in both English and Hindi is mandatory.
- Candidates
with minimum two years of teaching experience in CBSE schools will
be preferred.
- Maximum
age should be below 50 years as on 31 July 2026.
Contract Period
The contractual appointment will remain valid:
- Up
to 31 March 2027, or
- Till
a regular candidate joins the post,
whichever is earlier.
This appointment is purely temporary and contractual in
nature.
Documents Required
Candidates attending the walk-in interview should carry:
- Original
educational certificates.
- Original
experience certificates (if applicable).
- Valid
identity proof.
- Recent
passport-size photographs.
- A
set of self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents.
- Any
additional certificates supporting eligibility or experience.
