The CSIR – National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR-NIO),
Goa, a premier laboratory under the Council of Scientific &
Industrial Research (CSIR), has released Advertisement No.
NIO/HRM/26-27/01-PS inviting applications for Project Associate-I
positions on a temporary contractual basis.
The recruitment aims to fill 21 vacancies under
various research and development (R&D) projects at the NIO Headquarters
in Goa and its regional centres located in Kochi, Mumbai, and
Visakhapatnam.

Salary
Selected candidates will receive:

Fellowship: ₹25,000

qualifications may be considered for higher emoluments as per CSIR
regulations and project availability.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit is:
35 Years
The age will be calculated as on 12 July 2026.
Age relaxation will be applicable according to Government
of India and CSIR rules.
Project Tenure
The initial appointment will be valid up to 31 March 2027.
The tenure may be extended depending upon:

of funds

performance
However, these positions are purely temporary and do not
guarantee permanent employment with CSIR-NIO.
