Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has officially released the Apprenticeship
Training Notification 2026 for Graduate Engineers, Technician Apprentices,
and General Stream Graduates. Candidates who have successfully completed their
Degree or Diploma in the relevant discipline and are looking for valuable
industrial training can apply for this apprenticeship opportunity.
The apprenticeship program is conducted under the Apprentices
Act, 1961 & Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules, 2025. Selected candidates
will receive a monthly stipend while gaining practical experience in one of
India's leading shipbuilding and ship repair companies.

Monthly Stipend
Graduate Engineer Apprentices will receive ₹12,300 per
month.
Technician Apprentices will receive ₹10,900 per month.
General Stream Graduates will receive:

per month during the first year.

per month during the second year.

Technician Apprentices – One Year

Selection Process
Selection will be carried out differently for Engineering
and General Stream candidates.
For Graduate and Technician Apprentices, candidates will be
shortlisted based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination followed by a
Written Test and Interview.
For General Stream Graduates, selection will be based on the
percentage of marks obtained in graduation followed by a Personal Interview.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the next
stage of the recruitment process.
Terms & Conditions (Rephrased)
Candidates who wish to apply must submit their application in the prescribed format provided along with the official notification.
Only applicants who completed their Degree or Diploma in the relevant discipline during 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible to apply.
Candidates who have never undergone apprenticeship training, or those who have completed only one apprenticeship in a different trade at least one year before the publication date of this advertisement, are eligible to apply.
This apprenticeship is strictly a training program and does not guarantee regular employment with Goa Shipyard Limited after completion. However, based on organizational requirements and the candidate's performance, suitable candidates may be considered for Advanced Training or engagement as Trainee Project Executives in shipbuilding activities, subject to the company's policies and available vacancies.
The selection process for Graduate Apprentices consists of a Written Test followed by an Interview. For Technician Apprentices, candidates must qualify a Written Test followed by a Practical Test. Only those who clear the Written Test will be invited for the next stage of the selection process.
Reservation benefits for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates will be provided in accordance with the Government of India guidelines.
Candidates shortlisted for the Written Test, Interview, or Practical Test will not be entitled to any Travel Allowance (TA) or Dearness Allowance (DA), as this recruitment is exclusively for apprenticeship training and not for regular employment.
Goa Shipyard Limited reserves the right to modify the eligibility criteria, including increasing the minimum qualifying marks or cutoff percentage, for the purpose of shortlisting candidates.
Applications that are not submitted in the prescribed application format are liable to be rejected.
Applications received after the prescribed closing date will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Incomplete applications, applications without the required supporting documents, or applications submitted through email will not be considered.
The last date for receipt of applications is 15 July 2026. Goa Shipyard Limited will not be responsible for any postal delays or late delivery of applications.
