Minimum Qualification for the post of Assistant Professor:
i) Valid 15 years of Residence in Goa.
ii) Knowledge of Konkani is essential and knowledge of Marathi is desirable.The National Eligibility Test (NET) or State Eligibility Test (SET) conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune Universi

- An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;

o research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one is in a refereed journal; - The candidate has presented at least two papers, based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.
- The fulfillment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar of the University concerned.
- The clearing of NET/SET shall not be required for candidates in such disciplines for which NET/SET has not bee
n conducted. - A minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever the grading system if followed
) at the Master's level shall be essential qualification for direct recruitment of teachers. - A relaxation of 5% sha
ll be allowed at the Bachelor's as well as at the Master's level for the candidates belong ing to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-creamy Layer)/Differently-abled ((a) Blindness and low vision; (b) Deaf and Hard of Hearing; (c) Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cure d, dwarfism, acid-attack victims and muscular dystrophy; (d) Autism, intellectual disability, specific learni ng disability and mental illn ess; (e) Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness) for the purpose of eligibility and assessing good academic record for direct recruitment. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the cat egories mentioned above are permissible, based only on the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedure.
B. Eligibility for Direct Recruitment as Assistant Professor:

Educational Qualifications & Skills
The requirements are divided into two categories: Essential (mandatory for eligibility) and Desirable (preferred assets that give an applicant an edge).

Compensation & Age Limits
Salary: The position offers a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 40,000/- per month. A consolidated salary typically means a fixed lump sum payment without additional allowances like HRA, DA, or medical perks.Age Limit: The age of the candidate shall not exceed 60 years during the appointment period. This clear cap ensures that anyone employed must remain under 60 throughout the duration of their tenure.
