Vacancy Details

1) Technical Superintendent (Electrical)

Educational Qualification & Experience

• 03 Year Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Communications Engineering with at least 60% of marks or its equivalent CGPA grading with 06-year experience after diploma. OR
•  B. Tech / B.E. or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Communications Engineering with at least 60% of marks or its equivalent CGPA grading with 03-year experience after degree. 
• For Applicants with full time Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Communications Engineering, normal duration of Master’s program would be counted towards experience (max 2 years).

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA

General Information:

1.All positions carry a probation period of one year.

2.Applicants are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess the minimum essential qualification and experience (if any) laid down in the advertisement. Applicants possessing the requisite qualification and experience may apply online only. The applicants shall upload all the relevant documents in the application portal in support of his/her candidature. Applicants should ensure that they have requisite qualification from a Board /University/ Institute recognized by UGC/AICTE, etc. Certificates of experience in the relevant field, (from the present employment to the first employment) should be in proper format i.e. it should be on the organization’s letterhead, bearing the date of issue, specific period of work, salary, name and designation of the issuing authority along with their signature and stamp. There is no need to send the hard copy of the application. The online applications without uploading photographs/documentary evidence(s) will be treated as incomplete and such applications will be summarily rejected.

3.Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) can apply to the post(s) that are not reserved for PwBD. The Institute strives to have a workforce, which reflects gender balance, and women applicants are encouraged to apply.

4.The Institute reserves the right to: (a) not to fill any of the advertised position (b) fill consequential vacancies arising at the time of selection from available applicants. The number of position is thus open to change.

5.Eligibility of applicants for the post applied shall be considered as on the last date of application.

6.For availing the benefit under reserved category, the applicant must upload in the application portal, Category Certificate (as per the prescribed proforma of the Government of India) issued by the Competent Authority. Applicants seeking reservation benefits available to OBC (NCL) category are required to attach a declaration, in addition to certificate in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority enclosed at Annexure I. For availing the benefit under EWS category, the applicant must upload in the application portal EWS Certificate (as per the prescribed proforma of the Government of India) issued by the Competent Authority valid for the FY 2026-27 only.

7.Application fee (non-refundable) should be paid as detailed below. No fee will be charged from PwBD & Female applicants.

8.Persons employed in Government/Semi Government Organizations/Autonomous Bodies/ PSU etc. should process their application through proper channel and submit No Objection Certificate (NOC) with vigilance clearance. Those who are unable to process their application through proper channel may submit ‘No Objection Certificate (NOC)’ mentioning clearly regarding vigilance clearance from their present employer during the time of final selection. Application without NOC will be treated as advance copy; however, the applicants must declare that NOC will be submitted at the time final selection.

9.The online applications received in response to this advertisement shall be scrutinized as per the eligibility criteria detailed in the advertisement. Merely fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not entitle an applicants to be called for selection process. In case the number of applications received is large, Institute reserves to formulate additional criteria for shortlisting, based on academic performance and/ or levels/area/years of experience of the applicants or any other criteria as deemed fit. Only shortlisted applicants will be called for selection process. The decision of the Institute in this regard shall be final.

10.The age limit shall be 57 years across all the cadres for regular employees of the Institute.

11.Relaxation up to a maximum of 57 years of age shall be given for applicants working in the Institute on a nonregular/contract basis, provided they have served the Institute for at least 05 years.

12.Selection Procedure:

For Pay Level 06 (Group B)/ Pay Level 04 (Group C), the selection will be based on the written test, as per recruitment rule. Written test means Written Test / Computer Based Test and/or Trade Test and/or any other mode of test, as deemed fit.

13.The appointment of the selected applicant is subject to being found medically fit as per the requirement of the Institute.

14.The Institute shall verify the antecedents and documents submitted by an applicant during the tenure of his/her service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the applicants are not genuine or the applicant has a clandestine antecedents/background and has suppressed the said information, then his/her service shall be terminated and legal action may be initiated against such applicants/employees.

15.Appointments will be governed by the relevant service rules and regulations of the Institute as amended from time to time.

16.In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which is detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the Institute reserves the right to modify/cancel the appointment and withdraw any communication made to the applicants.

17.Decision of the Institute in all matters relating to the eligibility of the applicant, skill/written test and selection shall be final and binding on all the applicants. No correspondence or personal inquiries shall be entertained.

18.In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the Institute shall be final.

19.Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

20.Outstation SC/ST/PwD applicants attending the written test shall be paid to & fro sleeper class train fare by shortest route subject to production of tickets and category certificate. SC/ST applicants already working in Central/State Government organizations, Autonomous Body, Public Sector Units etc. service are not admissible for travelling allowance (TA).

21.No correspondence/queries will be entertained from applicants regarding email delays, conduct and result of written test and reasons for not being called for written test. However, all information/corrigendum related to this advertisement/ correspondence (viz. list of shortlisted applicants/syllabus/date of examination/call letter for test), results, etc shall be uploaded on Careers@IITGoa page of IIT Goa’s website.
