Goa College of Engineering Recruitment 2026: Walk-in-Interview for Assistant Professor Posts

The Goa College of Engineering (GEC), Farmagudi, is conducting walk-in-interviews for Assistant Professor positions on a contract or visiting basis for the 2026-27 academic year. Below are the specific vacancy details and interview dates for each department.

Vacancies and Interview Schedule

Interviews will be held at 9:30 A.M. on the following dates:

• May 23, 2026

  • Science & Humanities (Mathematics, Chemistry): 3 vacancies (Unreserved)

• May 25, 2026

  • Information Technology: 6 vacancies (3 UR, 1 OBC, 1 PwD, 1 ST)

  • Computer Engineering: 4 vacancies (2 UR, 2 OBC)

• May 26, 2026

  • Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering; VLSI: 10 vacancies (8 UR, 2 OBC)

  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering: 4 vacancies (3 UR, 1 OBC)

• May 27, 2026

  • Civil Engineering: 5 vacancies (3 UR, 1 OBC, 1 ST)

  • Mechanical Engineering: 4 vacancies (2 UR, 2 OBC, 1 ST)

Educational Qualification (Engineering) 

• Bachelor of Engineering/Technology/Science and Master of Engineering/Technology/Science or Integrated Master of Technology, in relevant branch, with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees

Educational Qualification (Science & Humanities) 

• A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) or a similar test accredited by the UGC or who have been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Degree in accordance with the UGC or from a foreign University/Institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking.
• All appointments will be subject to the approval of the Government of Goa.
• Candidates MUST bring originals and self- attested copies of all relevant documents/certificates/experience certificates and 1 nos. passport size photo and report at 9.30 A.M. on the date of interview schedule mentioned above.
• Remuneration and Age Limit: Will be as per Government of Goa rules in force.
• The period of contract will be for 3 academic terms from AY 2026-27 or till the posts are filled on regular basis, whichever is earlier.

Note:

1. The number of vacancies are indicative and subject to variations. If no suitable candidate is found from reserved category the position will be filled from unreserved category.

2. Knowledge of Konkani shall be essential and knowledge of Marathi shall be desirable for all the above posts. In case of non-availability of suitable candidate with knowledge of Konkani, this requirement can be relaxed.
