Candidates should carefully read the “Instructions” available on Commission’s website before filling the application online.

In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani, the Goa Public Service Commission may recommend a candidate if otherwise found fit and this requirement can be relaxed by the Government on the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission.

Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview as mentioned in the “Instructions”.


I. DIRECTORATE OF HEALTH SERVICES

Assistant Malaria Officer (Entomologist Non Medical) – 1 post (Unreserved)

Scale of Pay: Pay Matrix Level-7

Age: Not exceeding 45 years

Essential Qualification

  • Master’s Degree in Entomology or in Zoology with specialisation in Entomology of a recognised University or equivalent. ( 
  • Atleast 3 years experience in teaching and/or research and /or control with field of Medical Entomology or Malariology or Filariology. 
  • Knowledge of Konkani 

Desirable

  • Training in Malaria Entomology or advanced Medical Entomology or Malariology or Filariology
  • Knowledge of Marathi.

II. COMMERCIAL TAX DEPARTMENT

State Tax Officer – 22 posts

Essential Qualification

  • Degree of a recognized University or equivalent, preferably in Commerce or Economics.
  •  Associate Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants OR 3 years experience in commercial accounts in a Government or Semi Government Organisation or in a Commercial or Banking Firm or in a firm of Chartered Accountants 
  • Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable

  • Degree in Law of a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Marathi.

III. FOREST DEPARTMENT

Assistant Conservator of Forest – 2 posts

Age: Not exceeding 45 years

Essential Qualification

  • Associateship Diploma from Forest Research Institute and Colleges, Dehradun or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Natural Science or Agriculture or Mathematics Or Statistics or Geology or Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering of a recognised University or equivalent. Provided that a graduate, with pure Mathematics or Statistics must have taken one of the following subject in his Higher Secondary/ Matriculation or equivalent examination (I) Biology (2) Physics 3) Chemistry
  • Science graduate with Economics and Mathematics will also be eligible
  • Good Physique with sound hearing and fitness for rough outdoor work minimum height 163 cms. and chest 79 cms.
  • Should be able to undergo a Physical test consisting of a walk 25 Kms. to be covered in 4 hours.
  • Knowledge of Konkani.
Note: Selected candidates, who do not possess Associateship Diploma, will be sent for training in the Forest Research Institute and Colleges, Dehradun or in State Forest Service College and Research Centre , Burnihat (Assam Meghalaya Border) or the Associateship Diploma of the F. R. I. & C. Dehradun immediately after selection. Failure in the aforesaid training will debar them to claim retention in service as Assistant Commissioner .

  • Ph. D. in the concerned subject.  
  • At least ten years experience in teaching/research/ extension activities in the concerned field (Out of which three years should be in the cadre of Associate Professor ), excluding period spent for Ph. D. Degree.

  • Ph. D. in the concerned subject 
  • At least eight years experience in teaching/research/ extension activities in the concerned field , in the cadre of regular Assistant Professor(Out of which three years should be in Academic L-12/Selection grade), excluding the period spent for Ph. D. degree.

Essential:

  • Master’s degree in Physical Education and Sports or Physical Education or Sports Science from a recognized University with 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever the grading system is followed). 
  • Record of having represented the university/college at the inter University/inter-Colligate competitions or the State and or National Championships. 
  • Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC) or Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission(UGC) like State Level Eligibility Test (SLET)/ State Eligibility Test (SET) or awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) standards and procedure for the award of Ph. D. Degree regulations and their amendments from time to time as the case may be.   • Master’s degree in Library Science and Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent Professional degree from a recognized University, with atleast 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever the grading system is followed). 
  • Consistently good academic record, with knowledge of computerization of Library.
  • Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC) or Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission(UGC) like State Level Eligibility Test (SLET)/ State Eligibility Test (SET) or awarded a Ph.
