WALK-IN INTERVIEW FOR ENGAGEMENT OF GRADUATE APPRENTICES
Indian Institute of Technology Goa, an Institute of National Importance established by an Act of Parliament in the year 2016, invites eligible Indian Nationals (preferably from Goa region) to attend walkin interview for undergoing Apprenticeship Training Program of one (1) year at IIT Goa under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.

The essential qualifications and eligibility for the above post(s) are as under:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts / Commerce / Science / Business Administration / Computer Applications / Management Science / Business Studies from a recognized University.
- Applicants should have passed the qualifying degree between 18.02.2023 to 17.02.2026.
- Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
Note: Candidates who have already undergone / are undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act elsewhere are not eligible to apply.
Selection Process
- Selection will be made on the basis of Academic Merit / Personal Interaction, subject to satisfactory verification of documents.
- Candidates must bring all self-attested copies of the following documents at the time of walk-in interview:
- One passport-size colour photograph
- AADHAAR Card
- Certificate of Date of Birth (issued by Municipality, etc. or Matriculation/High School/SSC certificate where date of birth is mentioned).
- Educational qualifications certificates i.e. SSC/10th, Intermediate/12th/Diploma, Degree. (All the years’ marks lists of the Diploma/Degree).
- Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD, if applicable)
- PAN Card
- Updated CV
No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the walk-in interview.
Medical Fitness Requirement
- Candidates will be issued Engagement Letter for commencement of training on production of original medical fitness certificate. In addition, all the documents (original, one set of photo copy of each & 2 passport size photographs) are to be produced at the time of verification..
- Medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner of Govt. / Municipal Hospital having full details of the Medical Officer (i.e. name, address & registration) is mandatory.
General Information
- The Contract of Apprenticeship will be registered with Board of Apprenticeship Training (WR), Mumbai under section (22.1) of The Apprentices Act-1961 (amended till date)
- The duration of the apprenticeship training period will be one (1) year and contract would be ceased automatically after completion of the apprenticeship training period. The candidates have to join the apprenticeship program within 7 days of issue of Engagement letter/ Contract Offer, otherwise the candidature will be cancelled.
- No request for appointment to any post in the Institute will be entertained on completion of subject apprentice training. The apprentices shall have no right to claim any type of employment from IIT Goa on the basis of apprenticeship at any point of time. IIT Goa will not have any liability to provide any job to the apprentices.
- In emergency, apprentices are entitled to avail free primary/ OPD medical facility at IIT Goa Dispensary during the apprenticeship period.
- No accommodation and travel allowance/facility will be provided for the apprentices at IIT Goa
- In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which is detected at any stage during the Engagement/ Contract period, the Institute reserves the right to modify/cancel the Engagement/ Contract.
- In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the Institute shall be final.
- Selected candidates will undergo on-job training in a section / department as decided by the Institute and candidate applying for the apprenticeship will have to abide by the same.
- All the correspondence (s) will be posted on Institute’s website or communicated through email only. All the candidates are advised to provide the correct email address and regularly check their emails including spam and Institute website for any updates. The candidates are advised to check the Institute’s website on a regular basis.
- Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
- Any dispute arising out of this advertisement shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the Courts situated at Goa only.
