GSL invites applications from qualified & talented Indian Nationals for the following post of Experts on contract basis for 3 years.

Post: Expert/Specialist-GES & SR (Patrol boats) 

No of post :1

Educational Qualification 

Degree/Graduate from recognized university or equivalent

Relevant Experience

The candidate should have minimum 10 years experience of installation/maintenance activities of engineering equipment/systems from defence forces preferable from Indian Army 

Equipment / Scope 

Support construction & maintenance activities of boats, liaison with end user for trials and oversee delivery of Patrol boats to respective consignee locations.    

Post: Expert / Specialist - Outfitting Electrical (Electronics)

Educational Qualification 

Diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent 

Relevant Experience

The candidate should have minimum 05 years experience of Outfit Electrical/ Electronics jobs on Naval / Coastguard vessels  

Equipment / Scope 

To plan, coordinate, monitor and execute Cable laying, installation, termination, STW and trials of following equipments - Main Engine Controls, GB Controls, CPP controls, IMCS, RCS Systems and interfacing, ICCP, ICAF, Multi channel recorder, IMCS, RCS System, FD System, IBS, Radar, Gyro, DGPS, Auto pilot, Magnetic compass, UAIS, VDR, GPS, Anemometer, Combined weather monitoring system, GMDSS, Navtex, INMARSAT Fleet broad band, CCTV System, Dish TV, Auto telephone, MB/SRE System,, Talk back intercom system, SPT,EM Log, Echosounder, ISRS, LRHAD,ECDIS, Satellite Communication System,EK896, Cease fire alarm system, etc.

 Post: Expert / Specialist –EA (R), EL(R)

Educational Qualification 

Diploma in Engineering or equivalent

Relevant Experience

The candidate should have minimum 05 years experience in maintenance of ASR, SSR (preferably Fregat, Shtil, Pozitive-M, LYNX U2, EON-51, Russian/Indian originated communication systems) on IN ships / background of CMS / Ladoga / INS-SA / Nav Aids - Desirable experience in FTTT for at least 01 year / WATT/WOT(s) / FMU -Experience in Talwar / Teg class preferred

The candidate should have minimum 05 years experience in refits on frontline warships - Experience in Talwar / Teg class preferred

Production Coordination and readiness of compartments and equipment

Post: Expert / Specialist – EA(P) / ERA / MECH (Controls)

Relevant Experience

The candidate should have minimum 05 years experience in operating/ maintaining GT controls on IN ships - Desirable experience in GTTT Naval Dockyard (controls) for at least 02 years - Experience in Talwar / Teg class preferred

Post: Expert / Specialist – HVACR

Diploma in Engineering or equivalent

Relevant Experience

The candidate should have minimum 05 years experience in onboard service as Hull/ Engg Artificer/ PSE. - Experience in HVAC system / AC & Ref onboard IN/CG ships

Post: Expert / Specialist - GES & SR

Educational Qualification 

Diploma in Engineering or equivalent

Relevant Experience

The candidate should have minimum 05 years experience in operation of ballast control system for Floating dock/FPSO/Marine platforms.

Equipment / Scope 

Assistance for installation of ballast control system. Conduct all trial related to ballast control system. Imparting training to SLN officers. Other operational requirement on Floating dock

*Note I : Other than Ex-Govt. /PSU employees Monthly Emoluments (Consolidated) will be decided by the Selection Committee at the time of Selection process taking into account various parameters such as equivalent pay in Govt., job profile, academic qualification, nature, area & length of experience, CTC of previous employment, etc.

OTHER TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT: 

1) The engagement will be initially for period of 3 years. The tenure could be extended by a further period of 01 year each or part thereof until the Person attains 70 years of age, depending upon the requirement of the Company and the performance of the Person engaged. 

2) The Expert may also be required to impart training on critical systems/ processes for which he/she is engaged to GSL personnel. 

3) Person engaged under this scheme can be taken for any location in India as per the requirement of the organisation. 

4) Working hours will be as prescribed by user department, as per the requirement of the Project. 

5) Persons engaged on full time basis under the Scheme will not be allowed to take up any other assignment during the contractual period. The individual shall not engage in other activities that conflict with the interest of the employer.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1) The posts are on contract basis only and does not provide any claim for permanent employment. 

2) The candidates who are applying for more than one post have to submit separate applications for each post. 

3) The candidates who are applying for the posts should have completed overall 15 years of service out of which they should have minimum relevant experience as mentioned in the table above. 

4) Management reserves the right to fill or not to fill the post. Mere fulfilment of qualifications and other requirements as laid down does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. 

5) Management reserves the right to raise the eligibility criteria for short listing the applications.

6) For any dispute, the Jurisdiction shall be Goa only. 

7) Interim enquiries will not be entertained. 

8) Canvassing in any form may lead to disqualification of candidature. 

9) At the sole discretion of GSL Management the number of posts notified may be increased or reduced. 

10) Management further reserves the right to decide the criteria for screening of applications and internal rules and regulations and / or the procedures as per the past practice will be followed.

11) Management reserves the right to reject the candidature if it is found that false or fabricated information is furnished in the application. The candidate is also liable to be terminated on the basis of false information even after his/her selection.

13)Interview call letters will be sent only through E-mail to shortlisted candidates’ registered Email ID. The candidates are requested to login to their E-mail Id and check regularly.

14)Interview may be conducted either through Video Conferencing or in person. No TA / DA will be paid to candidates called for personal Interview.
