• Candidate should have masters degree in library science, information science or documentation science or an equivalent professional degree.
• Candidate should have atleast 55% marks with good academic records and also have knowledge of computerization of a library.
• Candidate must have cleard NET conducted by UGC, CSIR or have been awareded with a Ph.D Degree 

2. Name of the post :  Principal

Nature of post : Permanent 

Educational Qualification Requirement :

• Ph.D. degree  
• Professor/Associate Professor with a total Service/Experience of at least fifteen years of teaching/research in Universities, Colleges and other Institutions of Higher Education 
• A minimum of 10 research publications in peer reviewed journal as approved by Goa University from time to time or U.G.C. listed journals out of which at least two should be in Scopus/Web of Science Journal 
• A minimum of 110 Research Score as per Appendix-II, Table-2 
• Other qualifications as prescribed as per NCTE Norms 2014 

The appointment of Principal is on tenure basis for a period of five years, can be extended for another term of five years on the basis of Performance assessment by a committee appointed by the University constituted as per Goa University statues.

Other details :

• Knowlege of konkani is essential and marathi is desirable
• Pay and allowances and other terms and service conditions are prescribed by UGC, NCTE, Goa University and Govt.of Goa
